Just as some plants are especially good at supporting the health of bees by providing abundant pollen and nectar, certain plants are equally beneficial for our well-being. The Bee Herbal Garden is a selection of herbs that are just as valuable for the bees as they are in the herbal apothecary.

Once established, these perennial herbs will bloom continuously for six months every year. Starting with thyme in the Spring, ending with goldenrod in the Autumn, these flowers provide the bees with an abundant supply of food; in return, the bees provide an essential service in pollinating the herbs and other plants around your garden.

For the Beginner’s Herb Garden we have selected herbs that are easy to grow and simple to use. Within a few months you will be drinking your own fresh chamomile tea, making your own basil pesto and decorating your food with calendula flowers and fresh oregano leaves.

With a bit of practice you can soon have a selection of nourishing massage oils, soothing salves and tonic tinctures to help keep you in good health. Herbal Kitchen Garden (pack of 6 seeds)

The flavours in our Herbal Kitchen Garden come from the essential oils that keep the plants – and us – in good health. We have chosen some of our favourites for you to grow a mouth-watering garden: basil leaves are renowned for their verdant freshness; fennel offers a delightful burst of sweetness (try nibbling the fresh seeds); lovage leaves have a distinctive celery-like flavour; oregano delivers strong spicy notes; sage evokes the essence of pine forests, and thyme provides a warming, woody aroma.

While we primarily grow the leaves for culinary use, many of these herbs – especially oregano, fennel, and thyme – also produce stunning flowers that will bring your garden to life with the sound of buzzing bees.
