Inspired by the number zero, an essential part of our numerical system, however it only came to Europe during the 12th century. Considered a mere placeholder it wasn’t until the 7th Century in India that mathematicians realised it had a value. Then finding its way into the Arabic numerical system, they created the oval shape we use today. Nothing is always something. As we have seen how important 0 is to our modern world, it seems zero has increased in value.
